Implementing Verifiable Minor Consent

Technical instructions for setting up age-gating and integrating DigiLocker for guardian verification.

Understanding Minor Consent Workflows Under the DPDP Act, processing the data of a minor (under 18) requires verifiable consent from their parent or lawful guardian. ConveyGrid handles this complex workflow by combining age declaration with automated guardian verification.
Configuring DigiLocker Integration We utilize DigiLocker to verify the identity of the guardian and establish the relationship with the minor.
  1. Navigate to Integrations > Identity Providers.
  2. Enable the DigiLocker Integration toggle.
  3. Configure your DigiLocker API credentials if you are using a dedicated client, or use ConveyGrid shared infrastructure.
  4. Once enabled, the ConveyGrid consent widget will automatically inject the guardian verification flow when a user declares their age as under 18.
